Enjoy a freshly picked guyabano at Nana’s Farm!
The guyabano, aka guanabana (in Spanish) or soursop (in English) is a known sedative, nerve tonic, and is used to maintain proper intestinal health. Researchers have also been studying its ability to fight cancer and reduce the detrimental effects of chemotherapy.
In our barrio, we boil guyabano leaves in water and use the water for bathing when we have fever. My husband said it may only be psychological, but it has always worked better than paracetamol for me!
