Enjoy a freshly picked guyabano at Nana’s Farm!
The guyabano, aka guanabana (in Spanish) or soursop (in English) is a known sedative, nerve tonic, and is used to maintain proper intestinal health. Researchers have also been studying its ability to fight cancer and reduce the detrimental effects of chemotherapy.
In our barrio, we boil guyabano leaves in water and use the water for bathing when we have fever. My husband said it may only be psychological, but it has always worked better than paracetamol for me! Continue reading Enjoy a Freshly Picked Guyabano

Our backyard vegetable garden is located at the far end of the property, away from the guesthouse. Nana’s Farm currently utilizes about one hectare of land, which overlooks a much wider sprawl of greens.
Today we are getting ready to transplant the seedlings from our nursery — so guests who will visit us in October can pick their own vegetables to bring home.

Another guest review on our AirBnb page. After checking out, Julian messaged us to book for his mom and family, so they can also experience staying at Nana’s Farm
It was a great experience! My wife and I enjoyed it so much. The place is really beautiful and perfect for a couple. The people managing the house were very friendly and courteous. If you book I suggest that you take them up on their offer for a home cooked lunch or dinner.

We decided to replace the reading nook with a breakfast bar. Now, guests have a choice to have breakfast either al fresco at the balcony while enjoying the sunrise, or here beside the kitchenette where they also can also breathe in all the fresh air from the open windows.
Guests can still do their reading at the living room, the balcony, at the desk by the bed or anywhere in the garden. Table was custom crafted by a local furniture maker.

Here’s a review we’d like to share from Abigail, who booked a weekend stay with us at Nana’s Farm:
We had a wonderful weekend at Nana’s Farm. The place was cozy and relaxing, and had everything that we needed to have a “recharge” weekend away from Metro Manila.

At least, according to Aurora of Pasig City, when she came over to stay with us at Nana’s Farm! Here’s her review:
Nana’s Farm was perfect for a slow weekend in Tagaytay. There were lots of thoughtful amenities–a tub my daughter enjoyed, coffee you can hand-grind, an espresso maker, sungka and board games, a giant TV where we watched the Olympics opening ceremony.

Hearty breakfast for two at Nana’s Farm. Vegetable omelette as my mom would cook it, home-made longganisa, freshly-picked papaya, and freshly-ground coffee.

At Nana’s Farm, we drink coffee grown by the local farmers. We grow coffee in the farm ourselves, and are now looking into more natural ways of farming.
For our guests’ use, we’ve provided a modest little setup for making your own coffee: there are fresh coffee beans (Amadeo’s own Pahimis blend– a mix of Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica coffee beans) available for you to grind, and a stove-top espresso maker.
